Our Mission

The Yosef Yitzchak Library is designed as a lending library to be enjoyed and cherished by adults, teens and children on an ongoing basis. By private appointment only for now, at special hours, our long-term vision is to offer a fully equipped Judaic library for all, the first of its kind in Broomfield, in which to study, read, relax, and research. We currently have a selection of books on Jewish History, Jewish Law, Talmud, Kabbala, Philosophy, Cooking, Hebrew, Fiction, Prayer, and a special section of books geared to children and teens.

Plans are in the works for many accompanying programs, such as story time for children, summer reading programs, lectures for adults, and Jewish Movie nights.

About The Library

The Yosef Yitzchak Library will open its doors as a community lending library in the summer of 2024.

The library is dedicated to the memory of a man with a passion for learning and a love of books. Rabbi Fitzy Lipskier, of blessed memory, grandfather and namesake of Chabad of Broomfield Rabbi Yossi Rapoport, passed away at the young age of 45 in a tragic accident. A few years prior to his passing he had volunteered his time to opening and operating a Judaic children's library in his small town of Morristown, New Jersey. He was a dedicated teacher at the Rabbinical College of America, a loving father of eight children, and a mentor and leader in his community.
